Welcome back to civilization; Lebanon finally lands its first Starbucks coffeehouse

MOD Pizza also scheduled to open soon.

There’s one in Hershey. There’s another along the turnpike. And now, at long last, there’s a Starbucks location in Lebanon.

Located in North Cornwall Township, the new Starbucks opened Friday, Dec. 13 in the Lebanon Plaza retail complex.

Unless you count the Lawn Travel Plaza accessed predominantly via the turnpike, or the Lebanon VA Medical Facility serving Starbucks brand coffee only, the new storefront is the chain’s first true location in Lebanon County.

The full Starbucks menu – including coffee-based drinks, beverages and food – is available at the North Cornwall location.

Starbucks inhabits half of a new retail building located adjacent to Panera Bread and Frederick Chevrolet along Route 72, or Quentin Road.

MOD Pizza, a fast-growing chain specializing in “artisan” pies, is scheduled to open in the same building as Starbucks by early 2020.

With over 30,000 locations, Starbucks is by far the largest coffeehouse chain in the world
