CREWS HAVE THE SECTION BETWEEN STOOPS FERRY ROAD AND PURDY ROAD CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. THIS IS WHY. A LANDSLIDE BROUGHT DOWN SEVERAL TELEPHONE POLES. YOU CAN SEE THOSE UTILITY LINES DOWN ON THE GROUND. DUQUESNE LIGHT AND PEOPLE’S GAS CREWS ARE ON SCENE AT THIS TIME. MOON TOWNSHIP POLICE ARE ASKING DRIVERS TO STAY OUT OF THE AREA AND TAKE A DIFFERENT ROUTE, AS CREWS CLEAN UP THE MES POLICE HAVE NOT GIVEN US AN EXACT TIME OF WHEN THEY EXPECT TO HAVE THE REBECCA OPEN, BUT

A late-night landslide has shut down a portion of Route 51 that in Moon Township, According to Moon Township police, the landslide happened shortly before 11:55 p.m. Wednesday, shutting down Route 51 between Stoops Ferry Road and Purdy Road.PennDOT said the road will remain closed until further notice.
