A lawsuit filed Monday by a former Penn State football player claims coach James Franklin forced him out of the program after he reported violent, sexual hazing by other players.
Defensive back Isaiah Humphries’ suit names Penn State University, Franklin and defensive end Damion Barber as defendants in the case.
The lawsuit also alleges several other players facilitated a campaign to harass and haze lowerclassmen. Players made unwanted sexual contact and threats such as “I am going to Sandusky you,” Humphries claims in the lawsuit.
Penn State has said the university had investigated and was not able to find anything to substantiate the claims. The Centre County District Attorney’s Office declined to pursue any criminal charges, the university said.
