OTHERWISE, CLOUDS ARE BREAKING SOUTH OF THE CITY AN ACTUAL TEMPERATURES ARE SITTING IN THE UPPER 30’S AND LOW 40’S. CHECK OUT THE WIND GUSTS ALREADY , 15 TO 30 MILES PER HOUR, AND THAT KNOCKS DOWN THE WIND CHILL. 23 IS YOUR REAL FEEL IN BUTLER AND FRANKLIN. 33 IS YOUR REAL FEEL IN UNIONTOWN. A WIND ADVISORY IN PLACE UNTIL 7:00 THIS EVENING. THIS IS ONLY FOR CAMBRIA AND SOMERSET WHERE WE WILL HAVE WIND GUSTS UP NEAR 50 MILES PER HOUR. MAINLY INTO THE MOUNTAINS WITH HIGHER WIND GUSTS THROUGH THE DAY TODAY. OVERALL A PRETTY DRY START TO KICK OFF THE MORNING. WE CANNOT RULE OUT LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS COMING IN THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. VERY HIT-OR-MISS WITH THESE LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS THAT COULD DROP YOUR VISIBILITY. COATING ON THE GROUND BUT NOT EXPECTING A LOT OF SNOW ACCUMULATION. WE WILL CONTINUE TO SEE A CHANCE FOR SOME OF THESE BANDS THROUGH THE EVENING, MAINLY NORTH AND EAST OF THE CITY. SNOW SHOWERS WILL DWINDLE DOWN AS WE HEAD INTO FRIDAY. FRIDAY LOOKS GREAT WITH MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. HERE IS WHERE THINGS WILL CHANGE. SATURDAY IS ALREADY AN IMPACT DAY. THE ONSET OF THIS DISTURBANCE LIGHTING IN WITH MORE SNOW SHOWERS. CHECK OUT AROUND 8:00, WE WILL SEE A BIT OF A BREAK FROM THE SNOW THAT IS SHORT-LIVED. SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE BUT AS TEMPERATURE START TO WARM, THIS SNOW IS GOING TO TRANSITION OVER TO RAIN. THAT IS AS EARLY AS 3:00 SATURDAY AFTERNOON. DEALING WITH BREEZY CONDITIONS, RAIN SHOWERS EXPECTED SATURDAY EVENING AND AS THAT FRONT SLIDES THROUGH, COOLER AIR COMES BACK IN. SUNDAY MORNING WE COULD SEE SCATTERED LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS. OVERALL YOU WILL SEE A FEW FLAKES FLYING AROUND TO FINISH OFF THE WEEKEND. A DUSTING AT MOST EXPECTED IN SOME SPOTS TODAY BUT ALONG I-80 AND INTO THE MOUNTAINS, YOU COULD SEE ONE TO TWO INCHES OF SNOW. THERE IS YOUR FORECAST. IT STILL FEELS LIKE WINTER FOR US TODAY. The Pittsburgh’s Action Weather team is keeping an eye on a system that could deliver snow to western Pennsylvania this weekend.Click the video player above to watch the latest weather forecast.”That’s going to bring a wintry mix,” said WTAE meteorologist Cam Tran. “We’ll see a little bit of snow, possibly even some freezing rain early Saturday, and then depending on where you are, a mix of rain and snow. All of us transition to snow by Sunday.”Saturday is an impact day because of the expected wintry mess.An earlier system will arrive Thursday, but Tran said it is not expected to bring much snow — likely an inch or less in most areas.High temperatures on Sunday and in the early part of next week will only reach the 20s.
