Pitt student dies after being struck by Port Authority bus in Oakland

A University of Pittsburgh student has died after she was struck by a Port Authority bus in Oakland on Saturday afternoon, a Port Authority spokesperson confirmed. She was a senior anthropology student and research assistant at Pitt. The crash happened at DeSoto Street and Fifth Avenue around 12:15 p.m. The woman was transported to UPMC Presbyterian following the crash.
