1-Year-Old, 4-Year-Old Among Three People Killed In Southwest Philadelphia Row Home Fire, Officials Say


PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Officials say a 1-year-old boy and a 4-year-old boy were among three people killed in a fire in Southwest Philadelphia Friday evening. The fire happened at a row home on the 2000 block of Bonnaffon Street.
Officials say the third victim is a woman, approximately 40 years old.
Fire crews were called to the scene just after 6:30 p.m. and found heavy flames coming from the second floor.
Authorities say the three occupants were pulled from a second-floor bedroom and received EMS care but did not survive.
The adult woman was pronounced dead at the scene while the two boys were transported to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where they later died.

There is no word on what started the fire.
The blaze was placed under control at 7:03 p.m.
