A woman was shot and killed in Homewood North early Monday morning, police say. Police were called to Monticello Street just after 2 a.m. When they arrived, they found a woman inside of a residence with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are searching for a male suspect. There is no description of that suspect yet.
