Police vehicle involved in two-vehicle crash in Jefferson Hills

A police vehicle was among two vehicles involved in a head-on crash in Jefferson Hills.The crash happened around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Old Clairton Road, police said.The second vehicle involved appeared to be a pick-up truck.Officials said that both drivers, who were the sole occupants of each vehicle, were trapped after the crash.They eventually were both were freed from their vehicles and treated at the scene, but then were transported by medical helicopters to a trauma center in Pittsburgh.
