TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Gas prices moved up again in New Jersey and analysts say the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline has reached $2 for the first time since the end of March. AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in New Jersey on Friday was $2.03, up a penny from a week ago.
The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $2, up three cents in the last week.
Gas prices across the country have seen dramatic decreases as a result of a sharp drop in both the demand for gasoline and the price of crude oil, but prices have started to increase as many states have started to reopen and Americans head back out on the road.
