Lebanon police are investigating an early Saturday morning fight that left one man with a hatchet wound.
Just before 4 a.m., police said two men attempted to remove a bottle of alcohol belonging to a third man, from a business on the 900 block of Cumberland Street. According to a news release, the fight broke out after the third man confronted the other two.
A 23-year-old Lebanon man was struck on the right side of a his back with a hatchet, causing a substantial injury, police said. Another man was hit on the head with a bottle and was treated for his injuries.
The 23-year-old was taken to WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, where he is recovering.
The three people involved in the incident are familiar with each other, police said. They did not name any of the men or provide further details.
