Bloomfield Community Market opens to public

A new grocery store, operated by Giant Eagle, opened in Pittsburgh’s Bloomfield neighborhood Sunday.The community market is located at 4401 Liberty Avenue, at the intersection of Liberty Avenue and the Bloomfield Bridge. The site was the former location of ShurSave IGA.Customers can shop at the new store from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. The owner of the site is still working through plans for how to redevelop the property, but it gives people a place to get groceries in the meantime.
