Kimberly Maurer’s trial in Lebanon County Court will coincide with that of her fiance, Scott Schollenberger.
They’re both scheduled for trials on Feb. 22, 2021, in the death of Maxwell Schollenberger, 12, who died in May.
Max’s father and Maurer were his caretakers when his body was found in a locked bedroom on the second floor of the couple’s Annville home. He died from trauma to the head and starvation. According to a police report, he weighed only 48 pounds.
Max had never attended school and hadn’t been seen by a physician since he was a toddler.
The couple had three other children together, younger than Max, and Schollenberger had two older children. The boy’s mother had lost custody of him when he was 3.
